Veteran journalist Amrit Kakaria (right) is inducted into the SAJA Hall of Fame at an awards ceremony during the 11th annual convention of the South Asian Journalists' Association, held at Columbia University in New York. Columbia professor and SAJA administrator Sreenath Sreenivasan (left) read a citiation and presented a plaque.....The Hall of Fame recognizes pioneering South Asian journalists for their contributions to U.S. media as well as veteran U.S. journalists who helped shape coverage of South Asia.
